Bigger bust – how to get one in 6 easy steps!
Is a bigger bust something you desire? Without the need for surgery that is?
It is true that not all women want to undergo the cost and risk of surgery when it comes to acquiring a bigger bust. In fact, a lot of ladies would be more than happy to give at least the illusion of having an enhanced cleavage. Thankfully, there are some practical ways to make your breasts look larger in a flattering and cost effective way.
1. Make sure your bra fits correctly!
- Studies show that up to 80% of women wear a wrong sized bra so first of all, get your bra size right. Did you know that if you were to wear a bra which is too small your breasts could look smaller as a result, whereas if your bra is too big it may make them droop with relative ease and therefore look tinier than they are in reality? Choosing a bra which is a perfect fit, however, is how you make your bust look bigger and having done so you must wear it properly.
- Rather than focus too much on the cup size, concentrate more on bandwidth instead. Therefore, unless you know for certain you are a size 32 or 36; cup size is not all that important.
- Fasten your bra on the hook which is most comfortable and never at its tightest – unless the fit and feel are best for you that is.
- Never let your bra band travel up your back.
- Always bear it in mind that the right type of bra teamed with the right top can make small breasts look bigger. The reverse can apply, however, if you wear all your tops with the same style of bra. Be sure to experiment to establish which bras and tops give you, at the very least, the appearance of having a bigger bust.
2. Push-Up or Padded? The choice is yours!
A padded bra is a great quick fix as it can make your bustline look slightly larger immediately. A push-up bra, however, should have an even bigger impact on how voluminous and pert your bust appears to be. Push up padded bras are also available for maximum effect. Non- padded bras, on the other hand, will do little, if anything, to enhance the size of your cleavage.
Today padded bras come in many different varieties to choose from, as you will find gel padded bras, water filled bras and even those filled with air. The plus side to these type of garments is that they tend to look and move so naturally while providing a more eye-catching enhancement. That said, they do tend to be more expensive and bras which are air padded need the padding replaced should the air begin to leak out.
Before trying either a push-up or padded bra women are advised to undergo a professional fitting first, just like with an ordinary bra. After all, you want to naturally enhance your bust and create a look that is natural, not false or exaggerated.
Should you have a big night planned and don’t have to hand a bust enhancing bra silicone pads can come in very handy at times like this. According to Rhonda Shear, shapewear specialist, placing a pad on the outside of each of your breasts can help to give the look of having a deeper cleavage.
Never stuff your bra with tissue as it will look very odd and be quite apparent what you have been trying to do.
3. Enhance your breasts with the right make-up!
When done correctly, this can be a sure-fire way of how to make your breasts look bigger in next to no time. Indeed, women apply make-up to their breasts on a regular basis, especially movie stars. What you would be doing here is creating an optical illusion and it takes only a few deft brush strokes to do so effectively.
a) don your bra and whatever outfit you intend to wear;
b) protect your clothes from makeup by securing some tissue or toilet paper down the front of your top;
c) apply some darker powder (or bronzer) down the cleavage between the breasts;
d) ensure that you blend the colour upwards and outwards, creating a V-shape along the breasts natural curvature;
e) take a lighter shade (it can be either face powder or eyeshadow) in a peach or golden colour and blend it lightly over the top part of your bust;
f) blend the shade with a sponge to give the illusion of a fuller and more natural look.
4. Become Posture Perfect!
Perhaps your Mother told you when you were a young child not to slouch? Should this be the case then you do need to get back into the habit of standing tall and confident, as this will instantaneously make your breasts look bigger and perkier.
You will have a good posture if you maintain a straight spine, ensure that your shoulders are never hunched but naturally raised and arms resting at your sides rather than being folded. By checking your posture on a regular basis, you can instantly make your breasts look bigger, the results of which can be outstanding.
5. Wear Clothes that emphasise your cleavage!
Here is another great way to give the illusion of having a bigger bust.
Frilly, lacy tops and those with patterns in the bust area, as well as horizontal stripes (these tend to stretch out the chest area) and low necklines which show some cleavage, although not too much of it, can all go a long way in creating the illusion of having a bigger bust. Also, tops which are of different colours above and below the breasts can make them look larger than they are.
Dresses or shirts which fan out directly beneath your breastbone help give the illusion of having larger breasts.
Shirts and dresses with underwire assist in helping the breasts to perk up naturally.
Wearing an elegant pendant can subtly draw attention to the bustline if allowed to hang, tastefully, between the breasts.
Wearing white tends to make anything, including your bust, look larger. Therefore, as alluring as black is, it needs to be avoided and lighter tops become the golden rule when it comes to giving the illusion of having a bigger bust.
Remember that fitted clothes can help fake those curves. Try teaming a high-waisted skirt with a ruffled top to create the look of having an hourglass figure, while adding the look of “bulk” to the bust area.
Wearing darker trousers with a light coloured horizontally striped top will help to give the illusion of narrow hips and look as if you have a bigger bust by comparison.
Now that we have looked at what to wear to give the illusion of a larger bust, it is equally important to look at what not to wear, such as:
Tube Tops which are too tight;
Ill fitting halters;
Any shirt or top which fits too tightly across the breasts.
All of these can make your bust look smaller than it is, thus defeating the illusion of having a bigger bust.
6. Keep your Core in Shape!
Shaping and slimming your core muscles (those which lie around the ribs and abdomen) is not only a healthy practice but by comparison, will make it look as if you have a bigger bust – all without the need for any extra breast tissue. Both Pilates and yoga are excellent exercises for burning calories and strengthening core muscles at the same time.

Buy a Breast Pump?
Should you be particularly determined to increase the size of your breasts, then you may wish to consider using a breast pump.
There is a variety of breast pumps on the market, all designed to increase breast tissue size by the use of suction pressure. You would be wise, however, to always consult your GP before purchasing such a device, just to establish whether it is safe for your personal use and how best to apply it.
Finally – Stay Sensible
Here’s what you shouldn’t do in the pursuit of a bigger bust.
Take the Contraceptive Pill
Yes, certain types of birth control tablets do tend to increase the size of a woman’s breasts. However, that is not a good enough motive to rush off to your doctor for a prescription.
Taking the pill can sometimes result in not so pleasant side-effects, including longer than regular periods and even mood swings – neither of which are worth experiencing in the pursuit of bigger breasts. In short, if you do decide to go on the pill speak to your GP first and make sure it is for the right reasons.
Be Scam Alert!
You will find many advertisements for pills for a bigger bust and even injections designed to give you a more alluring bust line. Nevertheless, the success rate for such products is very limited in that so few of them have been proven to work naturally or be without any side effects. Would it not be better and healthier to first and foremost, give the illusion of having bigger breasts and then work on your exercise regime and diet to develop a larger bustline naturally?
Don’t Bother with the Botox
Considering having botox for bigger breasts? Then you are not alone. In fact, a lot of women, particularly those in the 30 to 50 age bracket, have paid up to £1600 (approximately $2,000 at current rates) for a Botox breast lift.
Although, as yet, Botox breast injections have not been proven to be dangerous, the effects according to some doctors are hardly worth it.
There are many ways to get bigger breasts naturally, some of which are of little or no cost at all, making Botox injections entirely unnecessary.
Finding the right bra, practising the habit of good posture, acquiring the right wardrobe and learning the art of applying makeup, all to give the illusion of having a bigger bust, IS going to take time. The benefits, however, should certainly be worth it! Equally, adopting the correct diet and exercise regime to develop a larger bust and healthy body will take longer to achieve, however, the rewards should be immense.
Patience, therefore, is going to be necessary every step of the way. However, young women, in particular, need to bear in mind that puberty affects each and every one of us uniquely and it is important not to try to change the shape of their breasts before their bodies are fully developed.
